Upon the initiative of the Austrian Ministry Ministry for European and International Affairs together with the Austrian Ministry of Defence and Sports governmental and non-governmental representatives meet to conduct an international conference on a coordinated, complementary and coherent approach in fragile situations and the role of civil society. The conference which will take place from 5th to 7th May aims at reaching a consensus between different actors operating before, in and after conflict building on new concepts on peace-building and state-building. For the first time, civil society organizations will be at the centre of deliberations.
