Each participation process takes place under specific conditions. Pooling a variety of experience and pointing up differing approaches promotes learning from one another and helps to develop participation practice further.
Below we present examples of participation processes from many different fields – from transport and mobility issues via regional development all the way to community work.
Here you learn
The examples presented vary in the level of involvement (information – consultation – joint decision) and in the focus of the participation process (from the entire planning procedure via project variants to accompanying measures), often considerably.
With this material we want to show how varied and contrasting the ways of conducting participation processes are – and to encourage as many people as possible to get going and to initiate participation processes in their own sphere of activity.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who provided information about the examples!
