July 16 - 20, 2012
venue: Admont (A)
At the 5th International Summer School on Business Mediation we will be dealing with the cultural dimensions of time and their influence on dealing with conflicts and conflict resolution. Internationally recognized speakers from three different continents will shed light on the topic in workshops and lectures from various disciplines, schools and schools of thought such as hypnotherapy, neurobiology, systemic therapy, economics, philosophy, music, Buddhism and many more.
With regard to mediation design, we will ask ourselves how to deal with acceleration and deceleration. How much time does it take, for example, for the design of different steps of development in a mediation? What helps mediators to become present and remain present? How much past, perhaps in the form of stories are needed in mediation processes? What is helpful for future orientation? How has the mediation process changed over recent decades as a result of technological advancement?
Which future trends are emerging for business mediation, which new areas of conflict, areas of application etc? What is the future of business mediation from the perspective of clients and providers?
We will however, also deal with the theme Past . Present . Future at a personal level. How much of our own history as a mediator is reflected in the design of a mediation process?
Under the title of “Life-Rhythm” there will be five days where tme and time rhythms can be experienced in special forms at various intervals.
